The majority of the jobs in our workforce today are sedentary. A sedentary work life has been linked to increased health problems and as a result it necessary for technology in the work place to remedy this issue for those who don’t have time to make it to the gym. UpDesk is seeking to do just that with their PowerUp Series II desk, a motorized desk that gives owners the choice of sitting or standing. The height of the table is electronically controlled through an adjustable remote feature attached to the desk. By allowing users to stand and work, the desk allows for a degree of activity previously unknown to the work life.
The PowerUp Series II is capable of heights anywhere from 25.5 to 50.5 inches off the ground, giving users a wide range of preferred heights. The desks are high quality products that come in a variety of finishes and retail at $899 – $999, depending on the size. UpDesk is seeking to reinvent the way we work by giving those who are short on time a quick and easy way to get active.
